Our activities

We desire to bring God to the heart of our community and all that we do is determined through prayer and discernment, so that we can be certain we are doing His will for his people in Hellingly and Upper Dicker. 

Worship Services.   Lord you are my God, I will exalt you and praise your name.   We hold Holy Communion services on Thursday morning of each week, 3 services on each Sunday and Family Worship is held on the 4th Sunday of each month at Hellingly Church. Whenever we have the opportunity we offer worship at locations within the Parish where people are meeting together - at the Festival of Transport event, at Dicker Day, at Michelham Priory. Children and Young People. It is so important that we create the opportunities to tell our children and young people about Jesus.  We look to do just that through  family worship and our involvement with our local schools, brownies, scouts and guides.

Families. With all the pressures of life, our family, partners and friends are crucial in the support they give us - sharing our laughter and our tears. Our time of family worship gives space and time to meet together and find that support. We also offer teaching and support through Loving for Life, Advent parties, Mothers' Union meetings, Men's Breakfast meetings and family events.

Prayer and Healing.  "What a Friend we have in Jesus .... Take it to the Lord in prayer" is a favourite hymn of many. You can read the words here  What a Friend . Our churches are open daily to provide a place for you to reflect and pray before God. A prayer book is available at the church - or email your prayer request.  All requests are covered through our prayer line to reach the Sunday services, housegroups and other prayer meetings. 

Getting to know one another. Jesus said "By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another". And we do .. all through the week we can come together to share and care for each other and make good friends -  through all the activites you can read about on this website and all the others that go on -  the gardening club, the fund-raising, the flower-arranging, the brass cleaning, the lunch and breakfast clubs and more besides.
